The authors concluded that masseter injections remain very safe when performed within the recommended safety zone.<\/p>\n<h2>What People Often Get Wrong About Jawline Botox<\/h2>\n<h3>Misconception 1: &#8220;It&#8217;s an approved jawline treatment, so it must be routine.&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>As set out above, masseter hypertrophy is not an approved indication for botulinum toxin in Japan, and the US application for masseter muscle prominence was only accepted for FDA review in August 2026.
